Florist For Sale?
As many people dream of owning their own Bed and Breakfast, so an equial number have always wanted to have a little flower shop. What a lovely life to be surrounded by pretty blooms and lovely aromas. As you consider this florist for sale, consider why people buy flowers, plants and floral-type gifts in the first place.
The 4 Reasons People Buy Flowers and Plants
1. Tradition – think: Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day
2. You can speak more emotinally with flowers than in person – think: funerals and in sympathy, or Get Well Soon.
3. They look pretty and people rarely buy them for themselves. They are associated wtih gift-giving, luxury and … a modicum of self-indulgence.
4. Plants clean the air – and flowers make us feel good. They are good for one’s mental wellbeing.
It is helpful, to keep those 4 motivations as you plan to market your florist shop. When you know WHY people buy flowers and plants, it helps to intersect with potential buyers when they are ready to buy.
Roses, and so much more!
However, don’t overlook equally emotionally-associative flowers like tulips, lillies, poinsettias and narcissus. And, there are some lovely options for beautiful mixed flower arrangements.
You will never need to stock mums or carnations, though… the grocery stores hae them well covered!
